I found this insurance agency that only insures in California. I thought they’d be like the aggregators where you fill out a form and then they sell your information to a bunch of agents who then phone bomb you… but I was wrong. They gave me more choices then anyone I had gotten a quote from (including Geico) and I opted for email contact rather than a phone call and they did just that. The quotes were quite impressive and the list was quite large, about 30 quotes to choose from.

With a DUI on your record you may not find any insurance company willing to take you. You may have to settle for the states “Assigned Risk” insurance. That’s a state program that forces an insurance company to write policies to people that can’t find insurance any other way. The premiums are VERY high, and the people you deal with are VERY unpleasant because they really don’t want you as a customer. Sorry if that isn’t what you wanted to hear.

you need to apply for non owners SR-22. Which means you can not have a car in your name nor can a car be in someones name that lives at the same address as you. That is the cheapest way to go.

I too got a wreckless driving ticket. And i had no insurance. But i went to my insurance guy and got the SR22 and my insurance rates really weren’t effected to much. You are a high risk now, so don’t F up again. Your parents might now find out as long as your not a day late on your insurance payments. Good luck.
